Woodstock’s Truck & Tap is an amazing new concept pairing the ultimate selection of craft beers (many of them local) with rotating food trucks throughout the week. On any given day, there’s certainly something for everyone. There’s picnic-style seating outdoors as well as a cool neighborhood pub- vibe indoors. They also feature three big screen TV’s if you’d like to grab a brew (or two) with friends and catch the latest sporting event. The location is also family-friendly, located just across from the Elm Street Green if you’d like to hit the food truck and spread a blanket in the park.
The El Nopal Mexican Restaurant truck was holding court on my inaugural visit to Truck & Tap. I feasted on one of their Chicken Tortas paired with my favorite local beer, Cadence from Reformation Brewery.
One thing I love about Woodstock is that when it comes to good food and beer, strangers don’t stay strangers for long. I chatted it up another customer who was enjoying this gorgeous ceviche and was happy to let me photograph it.
Behold: Reformation Brewery’s Cadence takes center stage on the front “window bar” of Truck & Tap. Equipped with a garage-style door to let the light and fresh air in, this row of seating is also a great place to people-watch. Sidenote: Now look closely into this Truck & Tap glass, and what do you see? Downtown Woodstock…as it should be, and a fact for which I’m grateful.
