Over the holidays, I visited my relatives in Woodstock, Georgia whom I haven’t seen in more than 5 years. A lot has changed since then including them moving 10 minutes away from Downtown Woodstock.
Part of Metro Atlanta and located 30 minutes from Downtown Atlanta, Woodstock in Cherokee County is what I’d call a small city with big city offerings. It has grown a lot over the years.
Truck and Tap is a new type of dining experience.
A bar with different local food trucks coming each day, you could visit 7 days in a row and experience different ones all throughout the week! The Duluth City Council recently approved a special use permit to operate a mobile kitchen as part of a new restaurant concept at 3137 Main Street. Truck and Tap Duluth, LLC will be a similar business to one the company operates in Woodstock offering food and craft beer with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Field Dog Kitchen
Field Dog Kitchen is the latest project from acclaimed southern chef Kent Graham. A Chef, a farmer, a huntsman; Kent introduces diversity to classic southern offerings. With a heavy concentration on locally sourced and crafted foods, he uses naturally raised or grown ingredients to highlight the cornerstone of his culinary philosophy – “Keep it local; Keep it fresh; Keep it simple.”

I love a good food truck and I love a good craft beer. So when I heard about Truck & Tap opening in Downtown Woodstock, I knew I had to try it out. I had envisioned a mini-version of the Atlanta Food Truck Park on the edge of the charming downtown area, but it turned out to be nestled between two other shops on Main Street.
