I love a good food truck and I love a good craft beer. So when I heard about Truck & Tap opening in Downtown Woodstock, I knew I had to try it out. I had envisioned a mini-version of the Atlanta Food Truck Park on the edge of the charming downtown area, but it turned out to be nestled between two other shops on Main Street. The front and back exteriors have large rollup windows to give an outdoor feel to the indoor portion of the restaurant.
The bar stretches along the right and several tables fill the space to the left. Just outside the back windows is a small deck with a couple tables and steps leading down to the small gravel lot where the food truck sits with additional outdoor seating.
The food trucks rotate throughout the week and you can check the weekly schedule on the site and Facebook page to see which truck will be there. Head out back, grab your meal directly from the truck, have a seat and someone will take your drink order. They have beer, wine and non-alcoholic beverages.
I was there on a perfect, sunny fall day to enjoy Smokin’ Mo’s BBQ (hello, generous servings!) and a Brooklyn Oktoberfest. This place has definitely earned a must-return stamp from me.
